The Oscars 2013: Best & Worst Dressed

As you know the Oscars were on last night and of course there were some fabulous dresses along with some real misses. Here are our opinions of the best and worst looks of the night. Let us know what you think!

The Best
Stacy Keibler, George Clooney's girlfriend, looked stunning in this Naeem Khan gown.  Absolutely loved the embellishment design, the halter neckline, and the sheer chiffon back.  Halle Berry also wore an embellished metallic gown, but Stacy did it MUCH better. (Photo from www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com)
Jessica Chastain looked beautiful in this nude Armani Prive custom gown.  Paired with her hair and bright red lip she beamed old Hollywood glamour.
Kerry Washington looked gorgeous in this coral-colored Miu Miu gown with a sparkly embellished boddess. (Photo from www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com)
Sally Field looked so pretty in this pleated, sheer couture gown by Valentino! (Photo from www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com)
Jennifer Aniston also wore a red Valentino gown which we thought looked great on her! (Photo from www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com)
Jennifer Lawrence also wowed last night in this Dior Haute Couture gown.  It's complemented so well by her makeup and pulled back hair. (Photo from www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com)
We adored Amanda Seyfried in this Alexander McQueen gown. (Photo from: http://www.guardian.co.uk)
Loved Sandra Bullock's black and silver embellished Elie Saab gown.  Always a fan of Elie Saab!

The Worst
We did not like this Reem Acra gown on Kristen Stewart. It washed her out and she looked kind of awkward in it.  And her hair was so messy!  (These photos are from http://www.guardian.co.uk and http://www.laineygossip.com)

Renee Zellweger was in rare form last night. She looked really out of it. (Photos from Dailymail.co.uk)

Jane Fonda wore a bright yellow Versace dress.  Her face looked gorgeous but we felt she really missed in the fashion department.
Below is Brandi Glanville from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  The boddess of this dress is so ill-fitting and shows way too much. All we have to say is, pull up your top!
Helena Bonham Carter really missed the mark with this Vivienne Westwood dress. Her messy hair made it even worse. (Photo from: http://www.guardian.co.uk)
We were also not a fan of Kelly Rowland's dress by Donna Karan Atelier.  We didn't like the structure and the slit was a bit high.

Unsure
We had some mixed feelings about Anne Hathaway's Prada dress.  The dress was reminiscent of the 50's and she did remind us a little of Audrey Hepburn.  However, the dress was a little bit stiff and pointy, looking a little awkward around the bust.  Nonetheless, we think she still looked gorgeous. What did you think? (Photo from www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com)

Chrome Nails

Another popular nail trend is chrome nails. Some brands make decent chrome nail polish, however I recommend using nail foils to get the full effect. I used Essie "No place like chrome" and it came out pretty cool. But if you want the real mirror effect you should use nail foils. Seventeen magazine recommends the metallic solids from Nail Rock Nail Strips. They're only $8 and you can get them from nordstrom.com! Minx is another brand that has metallic foils.

This is what Essie's No Place Like Chrome looked like on my nails. Under that check out some pictures of chrome nails using foil.

Caviar Nails

Check out this popular nail trend- caviar nails! Cover all your nails with caviar beads or just cover one or two on each hand for a more subtle look. If you decide to caviar only a couple of nails, I would recommend putting the beads on the ring finger of one nail, and the middle finger and thumb of the other. Covering both ring fingers looks good also! You can get the beads at most craft stores. Learn how to do a caviar manicure here: DIY Caviar Manicure
